EF takes pride in giving back

EF people are involved in their community, and passionate about helping others, so we are very committed to giving back on both a local and an international scale.

The Mentor Foundation

EF was a founding member and has been a crucial supporter of the Mentor Foundation for over ten years. The Mentor Foundation is a NGO based in Geneva Switzerland, which works closely with the UN and focuses on the prevention of drug abuse and addiction around the world. EF’s founder, Bertil Hult, along with Her Majesty the Queen of Sweden, His Royal Highness Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, His Royal Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, founded Mentor to help reduce the abuse and addiction of drugs around the world. In addition to EF providing financial support to Mentor in its early days, Bertil Hult served as Mentor’s worldwide chairman for over seven years.

The Red Cross

For over 40 years EF has provided support to the international humanitarian aid organization the Red Cross. During that time, EF and Mr. Hult personally have contributed several million dollars in aid, most recently 300,000 USD after the Asian Tsunami.

Locally, EF participates in many fundraising efforts, among them raising money in the U.S. to save babies from premature birth and teaching English to people in Brazil who do not have access to an English school due to their economic situation.
